This delicious treat is a Brazilian tradition that will make you melt! Somewhere between a truffle and a fudge... and it is so easy to make! Get a can of condensed milk, play some Bossa Nova, and let the magic begin!

Traditional Brigadeiro
1 can condensed milk
45 grams butter
30 grams cocoa powder
100 grams chocolate sprinkles
Using a medium pot, whisk the condensed milk and cocoa powder to a homogeneous mixture. Add the butter and bring to a medium high heat mixing constantly with a heat proof silicone spatula. Do not stop mixing! It will take between 5 to 8 minutes until the mixture starts to release from the bottom of the pot. You will be able to see a clean bottom. That is the sign that your brigadeiro is ready! Remove from the pan to a lightly greased plate and let it cool for about 1 hour. Before you start rolling your precious treat, prepare a station with a bowl of water, paper towels, bowl of sprinkles, and an empty plate. Wet your hands lightly, roll a piece of brigadeiro, toss in the sprinkles bowl and transfer to the clean plate. Some brigadeiros may not make it to the final plate... but that is ok! Have fun and enjoy!
