Frequently Asked Questions
How do you develop a menu for my party?
Your tastes and preferences are the first priority. Before any menu is planned, we will meet and go over a detailed survey of the likes, dislikes and requirements.
How long does the class or lunch/dinner party last?
Your menu will be made from scratch. Depending on the number of entrees, a typical service may take anywhere from four to six hours.
What do I need to provide for the event?
I just need access to your oven and microwave and free space on your refrigerator and freezer. I will take care of all the grocery shopping for your menu, as well as bring all the necessary cookware and utensils.
Who takes care of the ingredients?
I will take care of all the ingredients needed for your menu. Usually the freshest from the market on the day of the event.
Are your cooking classes hands-on or cooking demonstrations?
I offer both, depending on the level of interactivity you desire, the size of your kitchen and the amount of guests you invite.
How many students can be accommodated in each class?
It depends on the class and the space available at your home. Typically up to 6 students for hands-on, and up to 15 students for a demonstration class.
Do you provide wine, beer or liquors?
No. My business license does not allow me to purchase wine, beer or liquor on your behalf. I would be glad to make suggestions for appropriate wine pairings.
Do you employ a staff or do you handle everything yourself?
For parties larger than 10 I will make recommendations on the size of staff needed. I do have additional professionals that share my standard of quality that I rely on for elegant parties. Service staff will be billed separately.
Can I give a class or lunch/dinner party as a gift?
Yes. Gift certificates are available.
What is your cancellation or postponement policy?
A 72-hour advance notice of cancellation or postponement is required for all services. All deposits are non-refundable. This will cover any expenses that I have incurred, including the inability to book another client on such short notice.
